About the Artist
Bob Young was born in Dublin Ireland in the early 90s. As a young boy he dreamed about being an artist. At the age of 12, Bob was diagnosed with short sight Nystagmus.
Growing up, Bob felt alienated at school due to a lack of assisted technology support for his visual impairment. Drawing cartoons helped him escape from his daily struggles.
Bob aspired to study art animation in college, unfortunately he was unable to participate in several essential courses. Finally, in 2016 he joined a Facebook group for visually impaired artists that helped him build the confidence he needed to pursue his dream.

Johnnie is an African American artist who is currently incarcerated. He had never done any type of art until just a few years ago when he picked up a pencil and started drawing. That first encounter evolved and blossomed into a love and passion for painting.
He is self-taught, his only instruction has come form a few books that he read on how to draw and paint. he has donated many of his paintings to support a program that allows men to earn their college degrees while behind bars.
Johnnie had problems with his eyesight as a child that have progressively gotten worse with time. His vision now is 13 in each eye and he has also developed myasthenia gravis in the last few years. So in addition to his declining eyesight, he now has a droopy eye and problems with depth perception.
